Pilgrim Payne: COVID-19 Soft Furnishing Cleaning

We pride ourselves on our efficiency and professionalism

COVID-19 is a global pandemic that has undoubtedly affected almost every part of our everyday lives. For Pilgrim Payne, it has been a quiet few months for the team but we have spent this time getting company procedures in place so that we can attend jobs for our clients across London safely.

We have been working hard on a plan to get our soft furnishing services, COVID secure carpet cleaning & COVID secure curtain cleaning services back up and running as soon as possible and as safely as possible. We are currently working with a reduced team, and have implemented a number of health and safety features to protect both our staff and valued customers. We have also created a Coronavirus risk assessment document for our team to follow when attending all jobs to ensure the safety of everyone involved.

The Arrival Of Our Technicians At Each Job

On arrival at a client’s property, the team will remain at a two metre distance away from the client. Inspections and work will be carried out at a distance, and all doors will be left open in the work area, wherever possible, to reduce the risk of surfaces and door handles being touched. Our team will wear facemasks, if required, at all times and gloves will be worn and safely disposed of after use. The preparation of paperwork will be done at a distance – the estimates and/or invoices will be placed down and signed for at a distance.

Once the meeting is over with the client, our team will ask the client to retire out of the work area so that the work can be completed. Whether you require our COVID secure rug cleaning service or COVID secure upholstery cleaning, we will complete the job with your safety and wellbeing in mind. When the team have completed the work and are ready to leave, the client will be informed at a distance that they are ready to leave.

Collection of Payment for the Works

We kindly request that the payment for work is by credit card or debit card unless avoidable. If you are paying with a cheque, it should be filled out and placed into a plastic bag. The team will provide you with Pilgrim Payne’s number for the Accounts department, where payment will be confirmed over the phone.

How Pilgrim Payne Have Adapted in the Workplace

As well as our thorough preparation and safety procedures when attending jobs, the team at Pilgrim Payne are carrying out a number of safety measures in the office and plant to remain safe and compliant, including:

  • Arrival at work – The work buildings are to be entered one-by-one, and all corridors and staircases are to be used by one person at a time.
  • Office and work areas – we are adhering to the two metre distancing rules and face masks and gloves are worn where necessary. Office equipment, including tools and equipment, are to be disinfected each day.
  • Disinfecting the workplace – disinfection points of high touch rates will be carried out hourly to minimise the residence of bacteria and/or viruses.
